Remember the judgments of God: a warning to Nigerian yahoo boys
R

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12

Fraud-starters and cyber-criminals are everywhere, in every nation. But because of what the Lord said to me, I choose to address my brothers in particular concerning the inevitable judgments of God.

The word of the Lord came to me not too long ago, and this same word has spurred my intercession for the youths and teenagers of the Nigerian nation who are involved in online scamming, cyber fraud, or what we normally call Yahoo or Yahoo Plus. I was not only moved to intercede but also to write to them the counsel of the Lord.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Proverbs 14:12)

Yahoo & Fraud as Wickedness

The Bible aids us in classifying sins into various groups, even though they all grieve the Spirit of God. For instance, some sins lead to death, and others do not (1 John 5:16).

Those which do not lead to death are still called sin, but they do not automatically spiral into eternal torment in hell. For instance, it is a sin not to evangelise or pray. Late-coming to church is also bad, but these things will not automatically lead one to hell.

However, sins that lead to death are iniquity. Iniquity can be grouped into general sin and outright wickedness. Wickedness is when one intentionally causes his neighbour or fellow man hurt or pain. It is when one breaks the Golden Rule by doing to his neighbour what he would hate if the inverse were the case (Matthew 7:12). And the Bible has a firm counsel for wickedness:

“Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished…” (Proverbs 11:21)

God is loving and merciful, as the Bible declares, yet all His ways are judgment(Deut 32:4). This reveals that all His dealings with men will be of judgment. That is to say, God will judge everything we do, whether good or bad. King Solomon told bible readers about this nature of God in Ecclesiastes 12:14.

God will judge everything; He will bring every secret thing into remembrance, both good and evil, and He will justify the righteous. But as for the wicked, they will never go unpunished. Therefore, those who steal by proxy, cheat, and fraudulently do wickedly will never escape the judgment of the Lord.

The Punishment for Wickedness

If we view the Bible as the solid counsel of God, we must recognise that these severe judgments await wickedness:

1. The wicked will reap what he has sown

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7). This passage means that the one who sows wickedness must expect a harvest of wickedness. In his days on earth, he shall also see wickedness. The one who makes others cry must look forward to the days when he will reap sorrow and grief and many tears.

Some persons suffer at their old age because of what they did in their young age.

A woman once narrated how God stopped her from interceding for a sick fellow, saying that the woman had done something in the past that brought about her suffering and plague.

Prophet Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj also shared a similar testimony where he was stopped from praying for a bedridden woman because of her past wicked deeds. That is the destiny that awaits those who are quick to wickedness. Evil days lie ahead of them. “There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.” (Isaiah 48:22).

2. Cursed Children and Posterity

The Bible tells us that children are a heritage and a reward from God (Psalm 127:3). A reward is a prize for what has been done, and this is true for both positive and negative deeds. The Bible says that the generation of the upright shall be blessed (Psalm 112:2), but at the same time, it tells us that the children of the wicked shall suffer hunger and be cut off (Psalm 37:28, Job 27:14).

Yes! God rewards the wicked with generational curses and children who will be frustrated. Also, they bear children whom God will use to pay them back for their wicked ways.

I know of a pastor who was a thief as a young man; he produced a child who steals even church money.

I know of a man who was in a cult that had havoc on men as a young man. Now he is a church deacon, but all his sons are thieves. I once prayed for those children, but the Lord said to me that only their father can deliver them. Sins of the Parents.

I know of a young man who is an imbecile. His mother practised wickedness and witchcraft against a fellow woman. God decided to pay her back, and that child with Down syndrome is her reward.

Yahoo boys and those in wicked cults do not know the judgment of the Lord. In wickedness, one brings curses that can never be easily revoked upon his children. If that man lives longer, he will see great suffering.

And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the wicked, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:6-7

3. No Deliverer in the Day of Calamity

The wicked person puts the thought of disaster and calamity far from him. He forgets the benefits of God. But on that day of trouble, at the wake of an evil day, there will be no help for the wicked. All the darts of his enemies will reach him. King Solomon advised us to remember our Creator in the days of our youth, before the evil days come (Ecclesiastes 12:1).

4. Hell and Eternal Punishment

The flaming fires of hell reserved for the devil and his angels will also receive the wicked (Matthew 25:41). That place will be their final abode, filled with endless suffering and the weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:42).

Psalm 9:17: “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

A Call to Repentance and Reconciliation

Many times, God does not enforce judgement until the wicked have been told the truth. This is why the Bible says, “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts…” (Hebrews 3:15). By rejecting the call of God to repentance for the forgiveness and cleansing of sins, we actively decide to be judged and condemned.

The Prophet Ezekiel tells us that God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live (Ezekiel 33:11). God’s deepest interest is in our repentance and turning away from the ways of wickedness. But what if the wicked refuses to turn back? The counsel of God will overrun his proud heart.

The Window and Time of Mercy

The time of mercy is a function of the forbearance of God. There is a limit to which God bears with wickedness. When the wicked continue in his nefarious ways, it gets to a point where God swears never to show mercy, even if the person repents or converts.

Some may be saved from hell, but they will never be saved from paying the earthly consequences for what they have done. This is why the wicked must stop their wicked acts.

My counsel to Yahoo boys and girls is that they cannot afford to forget the judgments of God.
