Yes, the kingdom of darkness is real. The inverse world exists. There are other planes of Earth that can only be accessed by man’s spirit; only those who are illuminated by Satan walk in them.

Given the intense opposition the Kingdom of God faces and the reality that we are living in the last days, believers must take heed not to become overly entangled with the things of this world and the lusts thereof. This awareness is essential for finding time to nurture and maintain their relationship with God.

Until the end of times, Satan has hope that one day we will return to Egypt and join his side. He has succeeded in the lives of many believers, both clergy and laity.

But he will not wait until we fall; he will send out his forces to try to bring us into the darkness by any means.

For this very reason, I fight hard in words and with pen against the little attention we pay to the pursuit of strong spirituality in churching believers today. I fight hard against the gross shift from feeding the sheepfold the solid word of God to empty and over-bloated prophecies.

These prophecies deceive the hearts of God’s people and turn them away from seeking to find and know their God.

I fight because I have seen, like a forerunner, I have come to know that darkness is lurking just around the corner, waiting for a little complacency, waiting for a little slumber, waiting for a little mistake to steal us away. Satan will stop at nothing until we all perish.

So I have three key pieces of advice for believers who want to stay ahead and gain strength to negate the darkness unfolding against the church.

1. Follow the Light

“A little while longer, the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.” John 12:35

Jesus tells his disciples that darkness is an overtaking force. It is as if we are in a race, and darkness is chasing us down the road. In walking with God, we don’t have time for complacency, tiredness, or road naps. We run lest darkness catches us.

Following the light implies that we should follow Christ, who is our light. The church and believers must stop following man-made ideas of worship system. We must stop following our own way and will.

God is far from some of the things we do in the name of churching. It doesn’t seem like we are truly walking with God; instead, it appears that we are pursuing our own agendas and merely hoping that God will enter into our plans.

God is our Light; we must follow him. We must be where he wants us to be, do what he wants us to do, and stay where he wants us to stay. If we follow Jesus, darkness cannot catch up to us, for himself is the Light

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness.” John 8:12

2. Grow Christian, Grow

1 Peter 2:2: “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby “.

The Holy Spirit revealed by word to me that when people go to church, they die. That is to say, converts become more dead than they came. Why? There is death in our churching.

In the Pentecostal setting, we have become dealers of prophetic declarations. We seek the loudest radical amen instead of the loudest conviction from God.

I come from a place where many reigning preachers are not men of the sincere milk of God’s word. Many are not men who rightly divide God’s word. The dead seem to enjoy their storytelling, sensuality and eulogy.

Many preachers do not even know the counsel and judgments of God by which a man will live if he does them.

Powerful preachers are those who can raise good money. While we are in the hustle and bustle, the newly saved cannot progress; the old believers are stagnant in their knowledge and growth. So the people die.

Lending the words of Apostle Paul, “Desire the sincere milk of God’s word. This is what will cause you to grow.”

We can make demands on our teachers to teach us what is in the book of the law by desiring it, and asking questions instead of jumping and shouting when we gather.

When believers grow in the knowledge of God and his power, in grace, and in Spiritual stature or Christian spirituality, they become a menace to the kingdom of darkness.

3. Be Strong and Courageous

The Christian is a soldier. A lot of us today indeed live like civilians. But the call of God is full of battles and troubles; so we must be strong and fight until the master calls us home.

It’s not an easy road
We are trav’ling to heaven,
For many are the thorns on the way;
It’s not an easy road,
But the Saviour is with us,
His presence gives us joy ev’ry day.
